Tonight and I have created a zine for this weeks adventure. The Undead of Narlowglen. This adventure can be used system agnostic as we explore other RPGs out there other than D&D. So please adjust to what ever creatures you are using in your adventure! However as always Kobold fight club can be used to quickly balance an encounter for Dungeons and Dragons and Tetra-cube currently provides the stat-blocks for creatures in this adventure.
So I hope you enjoy this weeks adventure, The Undead of Narlowglen. If you like this format please let me know and I hope you enjoy.
The party received word that the City of Narloglen was in trouble. The message from the priest indicated that a breed of undead that he hadnโt encountered before had targeted the denizens of the city. These cunning, fast and calculating creatures of undeath had begun to hunt the people of the city. Drawn to their lavish lifestyles and ambushing them at their weakest.ย Approaching the city of Narlowglen the nightlife is evident even in the morning light. Groups of people clean up the street from the night before and many people walk seedily around the streets.
The Road to Kelemvor’s Temple – created in nightcafe.
Walking down the streets towards the city’s temple to the lord of the dead, the volume of people leaving the city was the first thing that struck them. People were packing up their entire houses and shops and were putting their entire life into the back of wagons.
Thanks for joining me tonight for another Zine. Next time you get a party together consider running this adventure and I hope that you enjoy it.
I hope you don’t miss a thing so come back daily in the coming week. This is so you can experience the creation of the next adventure as it evolves and shapes out. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Tonight, after a long day out and a bout I wanted to post something nice and quick. So I had the suggestion of a quick adventure prompt that involves everyone’s favourite alternative dairy product, Spoilt Rat Milk. Yes that’s right, spoilt rat milk. Now I made the argument that all rat milk should be considered spoilt before consumption but the prompt still stands.
So sit back, grab a coffee and try and not imagine drinking this fine concoction.
Spoilt Rat Milk
Shelves were lined with clear glass vials with a slight pinkish opaque liquid. The milk-like substance nearly bubbled when looked at but remained a think milky consistency when disturbed in its vessel. But the colour or consistency wasn’t what attracted people to this little store, oh no. It was the miracle like properties that the vials claimed to give the consumer.
Those who drank the substance were invigorated with the energy of someone half their age. They had boundless energy and a lust for life that was hard to come by. Those who washed themselves with this liquid diluted claimed to have softer, clear skin that caused their now supple skin to radiate with health. It could also be used to start fires, act as an ink for spell books and even keep away the undead!
The little store, Sam’s Supplies and Alchemical Emporium was the only supplier of this miracle ointment and tonic. But when asked where he was supplied the fine liquid he was either unwilling or unsure of exactly where it came from. Only that it arrived with his other goods, came highly recommended and was quite expensive.
Use for such a liquid
Now in game this liquid could be used as a primarily plot hook or a secondary ‘distraction’ hook. In fact this weeks adventure finds the party fighting undead in a city. This is a prime example of where the party could hear someone claiming that the miracle liquid was keeping them safe. This could prompt the party to investigate only to uncover its origins.
If a secondary hook or distraction, where it comes from doesn’t really matter. They could ambush or tail the delivery driver of the substance and then ask the person where it comes from. Revealing quickly that its just spoilt rat milk mixed with boiled rose petals (for colour and aroma) could sate the parties curiosity.
If used as the main source I would draw out the discovery. Maybe tracing it through a few merchants and people to a warehouse or farm where they find bloated giant rats being milked… Gross…
Thanks for joining tonight for a bit of a weird plot hook idea. Tomorrow we find the end of the week where my tabletop will be quite busy. So don’t forget to come back for that and don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Welcome to another Fright-night Fight-night where tonight (there is a lot of -ight sounding words there…) day fight-night where we have the lords puppets. This week we have a powerful lord of the undead in the city calling his faithful servants to the hunt. However he didn’t anticipate that the adventurers would arrive so quickly to aid the priest that has vexed him so. But to look at his minions we need to get into tonights content.
So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s look at some creatures!
The Lords Puppets

The Puppets
Humans who are left to rot and die in the sewers or alleyways may turn into zombies who are called to the lord’s cause. However they are not the best at chasing down their prey โ they save that for the bigger of the lord’s minions.
The Ghouls are fast, ferocious and frankly terrifying. A single bad roll and you’re paralyzed. My love for ghouls should be well documented now and this week sees a โhunting groupโ have three ghouls and a Ghast with support from the lesser undead.
But these hunts need to have a leader. Enter the Vampire Spawn. Now I know what youโre thinking. Vampires are no joke, their spawn are pretty lethal so will the sheer volume of bodies be too much? Probably not, but perhaps. So monitoring the flow of the combat and having the spawn enter when required to step up the pace would be ideal.
Thanks for visiting tonight as always. Now with this weekend there may be some disparity with my normal diligence on blog content. A full weekend with several kids birthdays will keep me busy but I will endeavour to still get more content out to everyone. And lastly, as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Welcome to a Thursday night where we look at creating a darker map this week whilst fighting through the streets of Narlowglen. But this is not the only maps we are looking at for this week but more to come on that later. So have a look at the images, let your imagination run wild and picture the possibilities with a theatre of the mind adventure. So in order to do this let’s sit back, grab a coffee and delve in!
The Streets of Narlowglen
328ThTStONa
The streets of Narlowglen late at night are shadowy dark places with a few lanterns here and there to shed light. However these Lanterns are easily broken and prone to being extinguished which will give pockets of shadow along the streets.
This gives us an atmospheric adventure with some interesting encounters that we can set up along the way. From random social encounters with drunks stumbling from a dark alleyway the possibilities are endless this week.
The roof tops for Narlowglen also provide the cunning hunter, or prey, another avenue of seeing the city. And for stalking prey. However despite this there is more than one alleyway that will lead he party to adventure and barrels, crates, rubbish and the people of the city may help or hinder them in their quest to save the city from the undead.
This weeks Thursday update is a bit of a shorter one. But there will be more coming for where we find the nest of the creatures. So don’t forget to come back daily for next few days as we wrap up this weeks adventure. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Behind the undead attacks in Narlowglen there is a something dark that stirs the cauldron of despair. The Masters hand is always moving and never stationary for too long. The undead flock to his voice and like those that fall into his gaze they quickly are made his. So to meet this master and get a glimpse at what is going on we best crack on with tonight’s content. So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s roll into tonight’s adventure.

The night was cold and dark and the winds howled with a ferocity that mirrored the beast within. However that was outside the windows and shutters. Inside the tavern, the Painted Tulip, it was warm, comfortable and the evening was just getting started. Several people swarmed around the table that he sat at and as the drinks flowed so did the time. A long few hours ago the sun had set and he could sense the creatures in the alleyways who were already stalking their prey.
On the other side of the city a painfully bright point of light could be sensed, but not seen. But to one as old and with senses as keen as his it was as if all the buildings were made of glass. Averting his gaze he looked up on the men and women who practically crawled over him. Then from the corner of his eye he spotted a group of people sitting at a table. Why were these mortals not paying attention to him?
Centre of attention
Standing and he approached the group from across the room. His movements were predatory a mere glide as he strolled over to them.
“What brings you to Narlowglen good people? Are you seeing the sights or here on business?”
“Business, we have a job to do” one of them proclaimed.
Interesting, he thought. “Can I offer you a drink? I dare say that I do love learning about what attracts people to this city.” he asked.
“We’re here to kill monsters” another said bluntly.
Well, new players have entered the field. This quiet city just got more interesting…
Thanks for joining me for tonight’s content. Don’t forget that the next few nights will wrap up this hunt so you don’t want to miss out. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Tuesday brings with it the The Prey and the Priest. This week finds the city of Narlowglen under threat by undead creatures that hunt the people of the city at night. But let’s skip a lot of the intro and sit down, grab a coffee and let’s roll into this nights NPC introduction!
The Prey and the Priest
328TuTPrATPr
Pay no mind to the darkness that scratches at your door at night as its not touched by the light.
A servant of the god of the dead Kelemvor Garst has a strong conviction in his duties above those the normal. He has refused his clerical services before where the subject has been something that would prolong a natural death or even deny it. But he hunts undead and vehemently opposes their corruption. In fact he will twist his own faiths charter of letting the natural process of death occur if there was any hint of undead’s influence in the subjects health.
Despite being a powerful cleric in his own right he is bound to his duty to protect the natural flow. And as such he does not hunt the undead outside of the sight of his temple that he works within. Whether this is unable to or unwilling to is unknown.
A few days away from leaving the city behind a beautiful stranger enticed Arty, Lady Artwell Bolguice, to stay out far later than she had wanted to that evening. This caused her to be stalked and attacked by an undead creature of resounding cunning. Saved by father Ironwreath she has changed her plans to flee the city in the hopes of repaying the man, and faith that saved her.
Being one of the only witnesses left alive of the creatures that stalk the streets she has acted like bait to bring creatures that seem drawn to her into the reach of Garst’s hammer and holy symbol. Together they are both the prey and the priest but their efforts is not enough to stop the encroaching undead.
Thanks for visiting me and my blog tonight. I endeavoured to highlight the current state of our two NPCs this week but to leave room for development. This will be a busy action packed week and I am excited to see what we can make from it. So don’t forget to come back each night for more content. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Another week has come and this week I want to go back to a classic of role play adventures, the unquiet dead. Despite many of the adventures that I have done this year the world of RPGs is so vast that you can always see another one just around the corner. But I don’t want to give away too much so we better get on with this weeks plot night Monday. So let’s sit down, grab a coffee and read about this weeks adventure!
The Unquiet Dead
328MoTUnDe
The streets were quiet except for the hasty footsteps she made as she walked across the cobblestones towards her house. Despite being so close to her comfortable warm house she was chilled to the bone with fear. The stories and bodies that kept showing up in the morning had caused the City of Narlowglen to become a waking nightmare.
Vast flocks of people had left during the past few weeks and only a few more nights and she too would be free. However she had got distracted at the Purple Rose, a tavern that sold the best wine in the city. If it wasnโt for that incredibly handsome man she would have been home hours ago and she wouldnโt be hearing things as she started to pick up pace.
Her hasty walk had turned into jog and not a full on run as she was now becoming certain that something was running behind her. Something that had claws and was incredibly fast knocked over a pot that was left near a doorway and she realised that she wouldnโt make it home in time. However a light shone brightly from the open door to the temple.
Kelemvor’s Priest
Racing towards the door she threw herself towards the open portal. The dead feared Kelemvor out of almost all other deities in this realm. But that didnโt stop the sudden pang of pain that surged through her body as she landed on the hand stone steps.
โWhat is thisโฆ?โ a man’s voice said calmly as hands gently touched her shoulder as he swept past. โBegone vile scourge. Begone the unquiet dead! Your cursed form has no power here and I banish you from these hallowed grounds!โ the man called out as he pulled forth a holy symbol. Bright light lashed forward and the sound of shrieking and skittering of claws on pavement was the only sound that could be heard.
โBe still child. Let me tend to your wounds lest they fester.โ the priest said as he strode forward. Taking the young lady’s ankle in his callused hands he chanted a healing prayer. Warmth and comfort swelled from the man’s hands as the magic pulsed forward. Looking down at her ankle she managed to see the deep gash that ran from her calf to her ankle. The magic caused it to seal quickly but a pink mark remained. โThe lord of the dead must remind us that we are mortal and that death is natural. However death at the hands of undead is not natural. I do what I can to prevent these attacks but I am just one man against a sea of undead.โ
โWhat can we do?โ the girl asked, looking at the streets before her. โWe call for aid. We have called for aid and we wait for heroes to come and save our city from the undead infestation.โ the priest said as he looked over the city from the temples raised perch above the buildings roofs. โThey will have to uncover the nests and burn them out.โ
Thoughts
A bit of a fun one this week as we look to a undead investigation. But not just zombies or skeletons marching on a city or in a crypt. Oh no this week I have some of the big guns coming out to play.
Another week started and this weeks going to be another big one. I hope that you continue to come back every day as the unquiet dead cause havoc in Narlowglen. But don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about the missing adventures that I need to catch up on. These will be completed soon and then we can enjoy twenty eight Zines for this year. That’s a few… So don’t forget to come back and follow the progress of this adventure and, as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Tonight and I have created another zine for an adventure that I spent tonight catching up on. So after much delay I give to you. The Chaotic Tower.
So I hope you enjoy this weeks adventure, The Chaotic Tower. If you like this format please let me know and I hope you enjoy.

Dresmandae’s Tower
Dresmandae’s Tower summoning – Created in nightcafe.
As the adventurers walk through the door they look around the hallway and wonder why they are here. The pang of metallic taste hit them first as if they had bitten their tongue but nothing hurt. Looking around they remember walking along a road before a storm broke out. During the storm they saw lightning strike a stark white tower as if it was drawn to the stone structure. But they don’t remember making their way there or walking through the door. Looking behind them the door frame to where they were was gone.
Panic set in before they looked to one another, each one of them was wearing different clothing or armour. Well to be more exact, their fine clothes or gear looked like it had been trudged through a dungeon. Walking down the hall they turned to the right, knowing the door was unlocked and beyond that there was a place to sit and rest. Surely enough the pang of Dรฉjร vu rang as they knew where everything was. Something wasn’t right here and they were all sure this wasn’t the first time they had been in this room. They even anticipated the orc rushing at them through the door.
But even as they fought the confused and dazed looking orc images, memories flashed before their eyes of a human or gnoll or kobold attacking them in the same room in the same confused frenzied state… Something really wasn’t right.
Thanks for joining me tonight for another Zine, this one some weeks late (about 7…) Next time you get a party together consider running this adventure and I hope that you enjoy it.
I hope you don’t miss a thing so come back daily in the coming week. This is so you can experience the creation of the next adventure as it evolves and shapes out. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Good evening all and welcome to the night of my second adventure and the brief summary I want to provide for it. Whilst not giving away the campaign, adventure or mystery I will attempt to write up each adventure this year starting with my 2023 campaign adventure 3.
2023 Campaign Adventure 3
Sa320CaE3
Plot:
Warrendeep
Warrendeep
Mordekai (Kai) and Tater have arrived at Warrendeep with most of the caravans crew safe and their passengers accounted for. Upon arrival they are given some rough directions to The Five Fat Ravens Tavern (I couldn’t resist using the name). But along the way there they ran into a young boy who they caught pickpocketing. Tater convinced the boy to give back the stolen coins and when asked why he told them of the current terrible state of the local orphanage.
The children are made to pay for their food and lodgings. Those who can’t pay are sent to the weaver house where they are made to work around dangerous contraptions that create textiles. Those who can’t work there or who are big and strong enough are sent to work in the forges smelting iron. It’s no wonder that the boy feels like he must steal to pay for his food and bed. Tater took pity on the boy and bought him some food before Sam arrived to go to the Tavern. Tater discussed the options of what to do with the boy and suggested an apprenticeship with Sam and his Caravan.
The Tavern
Five Fat Ravens Tavern
As Kai and Tater head towards the Five Fat Ravens Tavern, Kai visited the temple of Illmater and, as instructed by his ‘father’, swore his oath of redemption before the high priest of the temple. However the terms of his service weren’t quite what he was expecting.
Meanwhile Tater went into the inn and got started talking to Sam about the owed compensation for their work. A hefty gold sum was provided which Tater offered a large amount of back to Sam if he would consider taking the boy with him and away from this city. Sam promised to consider all potential ways that he could do this.
Soon they were filing into a back room with Groku who was shepherded in by Marie, the owner of the tavern. Moving through the door into a meeting room they were greeted by Gwen, the ‘gate keeper’ of the Inquisition who could detect lies. Her role was to work out if those coming to them were candidates or not.
The meeting
After discussing their encounters with the weird creatures on their journey, and trying to weasel out some money from Gwen they were shown through to meet Captain Steffani, leader of this inquisition into the weird. Upon discussing and revealing a bit about their current situation Steffani lied about the imminent danger of everyone in the room, stating that a cult monitored the inquisition and hunted their members down. Half the room emptied leaving a few brave souls remaining. However despite being brave Steffani revealed her ruse and explained that there was a cult, but they were mostly harmless. They were worshippers of the creatures and wanted to learn what the inquisition knew so that they could meet their idols.
This caused a Halfling to get agitated and leave the room in a hurry. Tater and Kai left after him but not before a large hobgoblin (who was exceedingly rude) ran out the door after the halfling first. A bit of a chase later and Kai was ducking under the clumsy blow of the halfling. A short scuffle later and the halfling was unconscious but alive at their feet. However danger approached.
Closure
The hobgoblin, Tuskur, attacked the party wanting to claim the credit for himself and a largely comical fight broke out. However upon getting serious Tater separated a hand from their assailant which revealed large purple tubular worms wiggling from his stump. This up’d the ante considerably and soon after they had cut the man clean in half. Deciding it was a better idea to take the body into the Tavern via a back entrance than bring the inquisition out Kai was accosted by the Taverns bouncer, Salvador, and dragged back out the way he came. But when the captain, Steffani, came to see the body of the Hobgoblin out the back of the tavern she calmly stated “So not even a day on the job and you have committed murder”.
Thanks for joining me tonight and for continuing on this campaign with me. I had planned a much more intense week this week but due to a health I had to shorten it down a bit tonight. regardless I hope you enjoyed catching up on an overdue episode of my 2023 adventure!
Don’t forget to come back tomorrow as we wrap up last weeks adventure. And, as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Welcome to another Friday fight-night where we have The Prophets of Shar entering the arena. This week we look at unravelling the mystery of the prophecy by examining the material and locating the source. But there is more than just empty rooms under Ruesford Manor and we have a big week ahead of us. So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s look at some creatures!
The Prophets of Shar
327FrTPrOSh
Lady Ruesford
Lady Ruesford is a mage of some power. Born into a family that worshipped Shar she was exposed to the Mistress of the Nights blessings from an early age. But as her family slowly left her she realised that somethings you just need to do yourself.
Getting married was difficult for her due to her devoutness to Shar. However she needed to keep up the pretence of being a lady of the city and an arrangement was made. While the arrangement suited them both she was still uncomfortable with the level of devotion to Shar she was able to give. So an ambitious project was undertaken and the result was a place of worship, a shrine to the goddess of darkness and night under her house.
Not long after construction finished she started to receive visions and urgent impulses to create a series of scrolls and documents that announced a prophecy.
Her followers, well the followers of Shar and the prophecy, although numerous are not very powerful. Shar can be fickle and jealous of those with real power and in her jealousy those who worship her never tend to get that powerful. However they are numerous and their powers combined can be deadly.
Thanks for visiting tonight. Don’ forget that this weekend we will have more content to come so dont forget to come back for that. Also don’t forget to set time aside for your own tabletop. Whether its with friends, family or friends yet-to-be made it is important to keep setting aside time for it. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
