The Butcher Rides

So this week we step away from our end-of-year conclusion adventure arc and we witness as The Butcher rides back through the town of Ravencreek. Tonight’s update is focusing around two encounters that hopefully set the scene a bit but there is another two to go before we wrap up the adventure. So sit back, grab a coffee and roll into tonight’s adventure!

The Butcher Rides

Butchers Raiders – Created in nightcafe.

The party checked the shutters on their windows as they lounged in the Whispering Oak, a tavern in Ravenscreek. They had arrived the morning of the second day of the spring festival and had been shocked to find a town in mourning. The town was known for its cheery disposition and ties to nature due to the large elven influence in the town. But they had found that there had been a murder the night before and many of the key witnesses had been drunk or swept up in celebration.

The accounts of what had happened ranged from a single orc dressed in black robes leapt from a building and cleanly took off the Mayor’s, Elenore Bucklewheat, head with a sword to a ghostly spectre had rode in upon a flaming horse and taken her head from a wickedly curved axe. The Families of Ravencreek had gathered to ask the people here for the ceremony to help find the murder and several had put their hands up but as the party watched the sun come down man had come back with nothing to show.

As the party went down to the ground floor of the tavern they noticed one of the family members of Elenore was slowly walking towards the door, drunk, and a half-elven man was helping him towards the door. “Come on Cousin, let’s get you home. Everybody’s trying as hard as they can. You saw them at the noon ceremony. We all loved Elenore like a sister.” the half elf said as the gruffer man, Tom began to start asking people to go and look for his niece.

“She… She just wanted to do what is best for the town, you know? She was such a sweet kid. I..” he began before pausing at the door.. “You hear that?” he said loudly, “That sounds like Elenore. It can’t be!” he said as he pushed out the door and ran into the street. The door to the inn faced down the road and towards the west where in the distance the sun was setting behind the old elven ruins. In the dim light there was a figure walking down the road with a horse in their hand. Their clothes were dark and tattered but a voice carried faintly on the wind. “Thomson.. Tom…”

Rushing into the street Tom began to rush forwards with wide arms. The party moved out of the tavern to watch what was going on as something didn’t feel right – after all they had seen the body of Elenore just this morning. As they watched the figure mount the horse and begin to slowly ride down the road to meet Tom it’s voice constantly calling out to him. The party barely noticed the faintest sound of horses hooves, only just barely audible on the cobble stone as it rode past them and sped up towards Tom.

As the last ray of light from the setting sun trickled beyond the ruins on the hill they noticed a darkly clad rider draw a large curved axe from within the roads and separate Tom’s head from his shoulders. The second figure, a form with Elenores face, reached Tom at the same time and caught the head as he fell from his body. Together the dark figures sped off down the cobblestone as the screams began to call out from the onlookers.

Elenore and Tom Bucklewheat and now Jake Elarnao now were all found dead. Elenore cut down during the start of the ceremony, Tom was lured out into the open by a figure that looked and sounded like Elenore before a dark rider took his head and the body of Jake was found in a nearby grove for the 3rd days ceremony that he was preparing for the ritual. Each one of them was missing their head and people had heard the sound of horses each and every time.

The fourth day was here and for the last three days a figure had appeared, taken the head of someone from the town and disappeared again. The next time the figure appeared it had more riders and each of them were rumoured to look and sound like those who had been taken. But today the Town had a sigh of relief as the 4th ceremony was of fasting and quiet reflection. No one from the town was to be outside from lunch onwards as they all prepared for the next three days of feasting as they ramped up to the last day, celebrating life and the sun with a noon-feast.

But… As the party moved back to the inn after meeting with the town’s historian and sage they were called to from the store room. As they approached Mae, the sister of Jake, was panicked. “Oh thank the gods you’re here. I tried to stop him but he didn’t listen. Arlorn Ponte hasn’t come back from the woods, I just know it. It started when we found out that one of the boars we had caught yesterday morning had rotted and was infested with maggots. I don’t know how we have cured it and kept it safe and secure as we always do. But when Arlorn found out he headed out saying he would be back before the curfew.”

She paused for a moment. “He said he knew where a boar had been seen. He is one of the best hunters in the village and so he knows his game. He was heading West near the elven ruins. Oh please look for him!” she pleaded.

The party head off moving with haste through the town street towards the ruins – the dark shapes stood out in the setting sun. The day was getting late. As they hurried towards a whistle caught their attention and a young, fair half-elven man was carrying a large boar on his shoulders. “Ah, I ran into some trouble in the woods. Fell into a pit. Managed to finally get out and get the boar for the ceremony but I fear that I will need to repent for my transgression on this day of reflection.” Arlorn said with a deep sigh.

“I thank you for your concern, but I am fine. I have a spring of willow that will keep any foul creatures from me. But I would ask that you help me with this boar, it’s been a long trek through the woods.” As the party passed the first houses in Ravencreek they felt relieved. Soon nightfall would be upon them and if it was as Arlorn said then he would be safe as many of the houses were built from Willow.

“Cousin…” A voice carried across the wind, Arlorn turned around “Is that.. Jake?” he said as he grabbed his bow and knocked an arrow. But as the voice carried on the wind so did two arrows that pierced his chest. Falling backwards he landed on the pavement hard, wheezing but trying to stand. The sound of four sets of hoof beats resonated as the dark figure on horseback was joined by similar figures with the appearance of Elenore, Tom and Jake. The Dark figures mare was horrifyingly quick and in a moment he was leaping from the ground his axe raised. But Arlorn held out the bow and a sprig of willow.

The creature’s raised axe hesitated, a look of hatred flashed across the burnt, cracked flesh from under the hood, and in the beat of a heart the creature hurled itself on the back of the mare. Up close and clear to see in the dying light the mare’s body was sunken and its mane and tail were made from cinder ridden smoke. With a fearsome whinny the creature turned the mare around and kicked out with ember-red hooves into the centre of Arlorns chest pushing the arrows in further and sending the man crashing into the party.

In a matter of moments the four figures were riding back west, into the woods and beyond.

Thanks for reading through tonight. A bit of a long one and, hopefully, not too rail-road-y for the players. I enjoy writing more story-driven sessions like this so if this is something you’d like to see more often let me know. Don’t forget the next two nights are also going to be action packed so don’t forget to come back for them. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,

The Families of Ravencreek

Now tonight I think I have realised how much I have bitten off with this this weeks project when I started to construct two of the families of Ravencreek. The Elarnao line and the Bucklewheat lineages can trace their family roots back to the first people to call Ravencreek home which, unfortunately, resulted in One of their demise at the hands of our horseman. So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s meet some of the family.

The Families of Ravencreek

342TuSwFo

The Elarnao Family

Arlorn Ponte – Created in Artbreeder

Descendent from the original elven family Arlorn is a hunter who spends most of his time in the woods. Trained in his ancestral ways of hunting and gathering he honours each animal that he kills and only takes what is needed for the family and villagers who need it.

Mae Elarnao – Created in Artbreeder

Mae works in one of the stores in Ravencreek with her brother Jake. They primarily sell supplies to travellers but also assist in their parents inn, the Lonely Pine when times are busy.

Jake Elarnao – Created in Artbreeder

Jake handles the delivery from the family store and is a strong and fast lad despite his appearance.

Quick to help and assist some may say he trusts to easily and talks to freely but he fails to see the bad in people which has gotten him into trouble on the odd occasion

The Descendants from the Elarnao family all have a strong elven bloodline. They age very slowly and are normally closely tied to the land and the animals of this place. They pass down the stories of their ancestors and the trials that they went through when Dokalvar attempted to tear what they had put together with the humans. They practise the traditions of old and some are still trained as warriors.

The Bucklewheat Family

Kindred Bucklewheat – Created in Artbreeder

Mother at a young age of 18, Kindred continued to work on the farm and has a way with animals. Now being in her late 40s her daughter rose quickly to become the town’s mayor and was celebrated for her bond to the new ways of working and her ties to tradition.

The death of her daughter weighs heavily on her and she is wracked with grief and anger and the recent events.

Elenore Bucklewheat – Created in Artbreeder

Elenore was the youngest mayor to be elected in Ravencreek. She had the strongest connection to the land and animals in a human that any in the town had seen and her dedication to the traditions of old and her plans to support the town quickly drew the favour of not just the elders and all those who met her.

However she is the first, and currently, only victim of the horseman that attacked during the first night of the week of celebration and her death shocked the community.

Thomson Bucklewheat – Created in Artbreeder

Tom is the brother of Kindred and thus uncle to Elenore. Despite his sadness and grief over the loss of his niece he continues to try and seek answers despite his age (if half-elves can really call themselves getting old in their 50s).

A farmer and one who has a strong connection to the land Tom is not an unpleasant person to work with but he generally has few words for strangers.

The Bucklewheat family are farmers and tend to the land and the animals. They have a strong bond to most of the village as their family has always provided food to the community since the founding of Ravencreek. Although they are slowly dwindling in numbers their bloodline had hope with Elenore recently becoming engaged but her untimely death stopped those wishes. It’s up to her ageing uncle and her more elven great uncle now to continue on the ancient line of farmers in Ravencreek

A big night of updates for a big week ahead. It’s been a while since I have had soo many NPCs in one post and I think its a testament to what is going on in the background. Don’t forget to come back each day this week as we continue to expand this adventure and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,

History of Ravencreek

The town of Ravencreek is a small town with a few hundred residents of a variety of races but they are predominantly half-elven. However the land wasn’t always so and a few hundred years ago, or more, there was a village of elves that called the shady pines, bubbling brooks and meadows of Ravencreek home. When the few humans moved in they worked with the elves to understand the woods, plants and animals that called the area home. As the numbers of humans increased their connection to nature only increased and several elves mingled with the humans.

This was a joyous union of the two races and Ravencreek began to blossom into something more, a place for nature, the wilds and life to be celebrated. That was until the elven warlord returned from his hundred year war to find a new blossoming human village. When the warlord questioned the elders of his village why they had permitted the humans to live in these elven lands the reply was not what he wanted.

Furthermore the discovery of half-elven children in the town drove the warlord man and he, followed by some zealous warriors, flew into a rage. Riding through the street they murdered many people, elves and humans alike over the course of a week. The warlord quickly became known as the Butcher as his brutality was only matched by his skill with his blade.

The elven and human guards eventually captured many of the elven warriors while the warlord, Dokalvar, retreated to the elven tower. A joint force of elves and humans stormed the tower and as they set fire to the building the warlord cursed the town, its people and the land. Before he even left the balcony from where he cursed and spat two arrows pierced his chest – Launched from both the elven elder and a human elder.

The body of Dokalvar fell screaming into the burning tower and was never found, nor was it sought out. The people of the land, elves and humans alike founded the town in Ravencreek and left the ruins of the Elven tower to be a reminder of the darkness that threatens peace.

Currently

Every year as the town of Ravencreek gets ready to give thanks to the land and the animals just as spring blooms. The town’s bond to nature is still strong and its people have forgotten the hatred that ruined the elven village. The town celebrates for a full week beginning with a ceremony that gives thanks to the moon and the respects given to the dead and closing with a celebration of the sun and the thanks given to the living.

As the village gathers for their first celebration the people the elves, humans and half-elves link hands and begin to give thanks to the dead and the moon. But a piercing cry interrupts their singing and the distorted sound of horse hooves on stone can be heard moving towards the centre of the town.

A shadowy figure atop a black mare made from smoke storms down the road. The people panic and scream as they run for their houses but the figure ignores them all. As the man on beast races down the road they rush toward the centre of the town where the mayor, a half-elf woman, was commencing the city’s ritual. As the rider reached the woman an axe flashed in the moonlight and separated her head from shoulders. The swift retreat of hooves revealed the body of the mayor, headless, laying at the platform where in giving thanks to the dead she joined them.

Now was we get ready for this adventure trust me when I say that this is just the beginning. Don’t forget to come back each day as we expand this adventure and hopefully, have it ready for Saturday. So thanks for joining me for the start of this week and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,

Nigrun Overrun

Tonight and I have created a zine for a long over due adventure, Nigrun Overrun. This adventure can be used system agnostic as we explore other RPGs out there other than D&D. So please adjust to what ever creatures you are using in your adventure! However as always Kobold fight club can be used to quickly balance an encounter for Dungeons and Dragons and Tetra-cube currently provides the stat-blocks for creatures in this adventure.

So I hope you enjoy this weeks adventure, Nigrun Overrun. There is a lot more content within the Zine, again, this week so if you want to get the full experience then download the pdf!

If you like this format please let me know and I hope you enjoy.

The view from Platara – created in nightcafe.

After the revelations made at the Ice Spire the party looked towards the next mark on their map, the Well of Souls, with a better understanding. The Ice Walker elders had heard stories of the Well of Souls from traders. A place where undead crawl through the muck of the swamps – all summoned fourth from the beating heart of it all, the Well of Souls.

These locations that Andrasa had marked all held great power but they seemed to contain, attract and even summon forth evil into the world. The Path to the Well of Souls would be a difficult path if it wasn’t for the advice given by the Ice Walker tribe before they moved on.

There were two ways out of Platara and towards the Tulkore jungle. Either by sea, a relatively safe affair when the weather is good and by land across the flat plains of Platara a distance from the coast but with it in view. The party would need to decide a cause and head for Nigrun before pushing onwards to Ferklend Port.

PDF adventure – Nigrun Overrun

Thanks for joining me tonight for another Zine. This one had more content added to the Zine but like a few of my other ones I kept that in the Zine, not the blog. So you will just have to trust me on that and grab a copy of the Zine to check it out.

Next time you get a party together consider running this adventure and I hope that you enjoy it.
I hope you don’t miss a thing so come back daily in the coming week. This is so you can experience the creation of the next adventure as it evolves and shapes out. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,

2023 Campaign Adventure 6

Good evening all and welcome to a very short sixth day of adventuring. Whilst not giving away the campaign, adventure or plot moving forward I will attempt to write up each adventure this year continuing with my 2023 campaign adventure 6. Today was a mere 1 and a bit hours so there wasn’t much that was progressed however there were some key moments that would set up the campaign moments in the future.

This is a continuation from 2023 Campaign adventure 5 as that session was cut short and, it was a while ago.

2023 Campaign Adventure 6

Sa342CaE6

Plot:

The Road back to Suncrest

After a brief breakfast the party collected their items, bagged up and had a meagre breakfast. Deciding to stay the night at the Inn before leaving the party had the full day ahead of them. A few moments were taken to enquire onto their new party member, Armaeth, and before long they were heading back to the stables to get their horses. Fiona the stable-hand saw the party coming and quickly organised for their animals; a fine riding horse, two mules and a ornery draft horse, to get ready.

By time the party walked through the doors the two mules were tac-and harnessed up with saddle bags ready. However as she was moving the draft horse out of its stall it started to give her some grief. Kai rushed forward and helped her get the animal under control. With some luck and a bit of self-guidance from the goblin paladin the horse was quickly calmed and they were able to get it out of the stable with well wishes from Fiona.

As they left the city they asked the guards stationed at the gate if there was any news of the roads being dangerous of late, the guard mentioned that the last caravan that came in from those roads was Sams and that they had a good run. Kai and Tater were shocked that the large loss of life was considered a good run from the guard, but perhaps that’s a sign of how bad the roads are right now.

Chance encounter

As they were getting ready to leave the guard exclaimed loudly and was shocked at what was coming down the road. A large, ornate and dark coloured wagon was being pulled by two large lizards. The Drow riding on top had the air of someone who knew what they are doing at all times. Dressed in fine silks, and some leather, the guard was about to sound the alarm when he was stopped by his captain.

“Don’t worry about her. That wagon belongs to the Melarn family. They sell silk from the underdark on the surface. As long as you don’t get in the way of them or cause them trouble then you won’t know that the family is there.

The wagon passed by with the only drama being that the parties draft horse wanted to attack the lizards. The party thought this was a good sign of a strong survival instinct in the beast. Saying farewell to the guard they stopped to decide which way to go. Judging by the fine weather the party decided to pass through the valley which should be faster to get to both Suncrest as well as their destinations in the mountains beyond.

Closure

Following the road through the valley the party came across signs of trouble. A series of campfires revealed an old camp by the side of the road but the state of the tents and the smell told a tale of disaster. Getting Armaeth to scout the site it was revealed that a large wolf or similar beast attacked a family of trappers here. They found a small pouch filled with some gold pieces and a topaz but that was all of use.

Making a break through the valley, and talking more as they moved on through, they came to the cross roads. Forwards lay the site where they were attacked by Westly and the wolf and to the west lay Suncrest and the site where they were attacked by the stonehide Gobblers.

Main NPCs:

Thanks for joining me tonight and for continuing on this campaign with me. We didn’t get to go through all I wanted but we managed to have a bit of an adventure which set the foundation for the next few sessions.

From the Pits they climb

This Friday we meet the creatures from some peoples nightmares and from the pits they climb!

So this has been a week in the making but it would have been obvious from the description of the city, where its situated and the update from a few weeks back (the dark below). So get ready with some bug spray, a giant shoe or a swatter along side your coffee and let’s roll into tonight’s adventure!

From the Pits they climb

342FrFrTPiTCl

Now first the obvious one – Driders. These creatures are pretty foul abominations that dwell in the underdark and they played a bit of a spotlight role in the previous mentioned post. These half-drow-half-spider creatures are like a nightmarish centaur… but no where near as nice.

Although not as hard hitting or deadly in a single round of combat as some of the other creatures we have seen these all-terrain murder machines are still as deadly as many. With their natural defences, mobility and the ability to cast spells these creatures make great foes for a big encounter, or several.

Drider created in tetra-cube.

The source of a few home-brew monsters in my time this next visitor to Kalehgrul is another monstrocity in its own right. The ettercap, while not as strong as a drider, can be a deadly assassin and in this situation where there are plenty of streets, stalls and… let’s face it, plenty of places for these creatures to crawl up from they can be lethal assassins.

Ettercap – created in tetra-cube.

So I have a new toy to play around with something that should really shape up my Dungeons and/or lairs for dragons so that will have to do for tonight! Tomorrow we look deeper into the spiders web to see what’s going on, hopefully get an update from my campaign and perhaps more. So don’t forget to come back for that and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,
The Brazen Wolfe

Kalehgrul Landing Market

Now its not uncommon for the first thing people to see when they enter a city is the markets or stalls and the Kalehgrul landing market is no exception. Now a simple and quick one tonight as the emphasis should be around discovering that goes on and not soo heavily on combat. But there will be combat, heed my words. But… before I reveal tomorrows reveal let’s grab a coffee and roll into tonight’s map!

Kalehgrul Landing Market

342ThKaLaMa

Housed on the edge of the cliffs before the deep takes over the market place has the best view of all. Its also got a large amount of foot traffic so the risk of thievery or falling over the edge doesn’t outweigh the potential for profit.

Several lanterns light the edge of the cities rocky platform and particularly where the two bridges connect it outwards. Guards patrol this area constantly and the traffic in and out is monitored heavily.

That’s it for us tonight. Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for more content, and some encounter stat blocks, and lastly, as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,

News from Duraegis

Another Wednesday has come and nearly gone and on swift heralds comes news from Duraegis, however it is too late. The city of Kalehgrul stands on the bring and perhaps only the party are strong enough to defend the city and the people they owe nothing to. But in the shadows a dark stirs and threatens to swallow the people of this land whole. In the underdark and the surface world that is. But to find out what I am talking about let’s sit back, grab a coffee and roll into tonight’s adventure!

News from Duraegis

342WeNeFDu

The interrogation didn’t take long as Morali, the ‘young’ priestess of Lolth, was very forthcoming with information. Once the plot was revealed Qistra and Umnel were quick to get mercenaries to confirm the whereabouts of the O’Lorun family. As everyone prepared for the next few days, a retaliation from the Melarn family, the party was able to get some rest.

The party woke up to a rumbling through the building. Asking Izzrysn they discovered that the city of Kalehgrul did this periodically. The devout believed that it was Lolth testing her webs to ensure that the plans she had for the city were still in motion. Asking further questions revealed a horrifying truth, that the city itself was suspended on thousands of calcified webs that had connected it to the sides of the pit they were suspended over for centuries.

After having a meal and growing tired of the plotting the party took to the streets with a loyal member of the Melarn household to shepherd them and ensure no one mistook them for runaways. The streets were busy, they were always busy according to their guide-come-guard as the city never truly slept (being full of Drow and other races of the underdark). Several shops sold fine wares and foods, stalls sold even minor enchanted and magical items, weapons and equipment. This is truly a marketplace where you could find any service or anything for the right price, or favour.

As they were wrapping up their shopping and investigation a group of people came directly from one of the two bridges into the city. They looked haggard and they were escorted by guards who sat them at the edge of a tower that overlooked the bridge. One of the people, an older female drow, grabbed a jug of water and drank deeply from it. After taking a large drink she stood up and started talking loud enough for the surrounding area to hear.

“We’ve just come from Duraegis. The city has fallen to Driders and other abominations. They came from the deep dark and before we could muster a defence the city had fallen. You aren’t safe! None of us are. The Spider queen is displeased with us and she sends her puppets on her strings to mete out her plan for us. Repent now, don’t think you can fight them as they are coming. There is no place in the underdark that they won’t find you and take you back to the deep dark.” The other survivors cried out and wept as the older drow continued to cry out.

“That’s enough out of you!” one of the guards yelled and pulled her down. “The city of Kalehgrul is safe. Even if there was a real threat of driders and other creatures nothing gets over that bridge. Nothing has for centuries and nothing will. So stop spreading your lies and be thankful we don’t cast you into the pit!”

As the guard began to argue with the rough looking refugees the party was led away by their guide. Slowly they made their way back to the Melarn shop where Izzrysn was and the house guard tried to explain the situation. “We get bandits on the road, some of which can cast illusions like the deep gnomes. People always male up stories when they have been robbed in these parts” she shrugged off the concerns of any aspect of truth to the proclamations of the drow and focused on getting the adventurers back in doors.

Setting up for this weeks encounter with a long rest and the portents of something a bit darker. The news from Duraegis was not receive well by the proud city of Kalehgrul but there may be something to these rumours (as we know…) so don’t forget to come back this week as we wrap up this adventure and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,
The Brazen Wolfe

Morali O’Lorun

As we look at what this week brings us we start with the prisoner, Morali O’Lorun. The young priestess of Lloth has considerable influence and to kill someone blessed by Lloth could displease the goddess… or please her, she is a complicated being. To get a glimpse into this priestess and help set the scene and mood for the next few days let’s sit down, grab a coffee and roll into tonight’s update!

Morali O’Lorun

Morali O’Lorun

Morali O’Lorun – Created in Artbreeder

The O’Lorun family has been rising in power for only a short amount of time, in Drow years that is. Originally a lesser family they rose to power when one of their daughters was chosen to be blessed by Lloth and the now-matriarch used her power and influence to raise her daughters up. Morali O’Lorun is a prodigy being blessed by Lloth as well as being a cunning business woman.

However despite her own strengths her mother is ruthless in business and Morali could never hold a candle to the flame of her mothers ambition. Her connection to Lolth and own ambition has led her down the path of futile turf wars with the Melarn family. Now her mission failed she has a difficult choice to make. Try to complete her mothers orders or make a play to take control of the family decades earlier than she had imagined. If she can only stay alive for the next few days in the custody of the drow she tried to kill..

That ends tonight’s short update. Most of the Drow portraits may start ending up looking the same as the ‘stock’ is, limited in Artbreeder. However with enough tweaking anything is possible! Tomorrow the true adventure for the week begins so don’t forget to come back as we expand upon this weeks adventure. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,

The Streets of Kalehgrul

After the party deal with the raiders on the Melarn farm they make their way to the streets Kalehgrul with the young priestess in tow. Now this week will go fast as there is a lot to catch up on on our way to the deep dark but never fear – we will try and blend it together coherently. So sit back grab a coffee and let’s roll into this weeks adventure!

The Streets of Kalehgrul

342MoTStOKa

Kalehgrul streets – Created in Nightcafe

In the distance the lights from the underdark city of Kalehgrul appeared like a collection of fireflies or other luminescent life. But as they got closer the stone buildings, torches and blue lights that revealed a touch of magic in the city came into view. Kalehgrul, while not being massive, was still a large city.

With no walls or towers the city appeared to be built on the top of a massive flattened stalagmite with two bridges leading into and out of the city. This meant that the only ways to approach the city were in the funnelled bridges, a steep climb up the stalagmite or from the air – most of which they had covered by soldiers and mercenaries.

Walking with the Melarn family they were granted access pretty quickly despite a few questioning looks towards the party and their prisoner, a daughter of the O’lorun family – a rival to the Melarns. But Izzrysn muttered some quick words in Drow and the guards let them pass quickly.

“I said that you were my new property, my slaves. It’s the way of this city and most of this world beneath yours.” he explained once out of earshot from the guards. “You never know when a swift lie will save your life down here.”

Onwards they walked past shops and houses that sold just about everything that could be bought from food, tools and adventuring gear to services, slaves and more risqué items. Eventually they found themselves at the entrance to an elaborate shop which had “Melarn’s silks” scrawled out in both common and undercommon on the sign. Entering they moved quickly and surely to a room on the second story where they sat the young priestess on a chair. “Now, why did your family want us dead?” Qistra demanded as she pulled out several metal tools of ‘persuasion’.

Thoughts

Now this weeks adventure will go very fast. This is just the opening part but this ‘scene’ can be delayed as long as the party want if they need to or want to go shopping. But to find our the rest you’ll just have to come back over the next few days.

Thanks for joining me for another week of adventuring in the underdark. This weeks starts off role play heavy and will quickly, very quickly turn action packed. So don’t forget to come back each day to not miss that. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage,
