The Witch of the desert…

Well Tuesday has come around and I plan on keeping to the initial thought of having this week simple, short and sweet I have a single NPC to bring you today.

The image was created in, you guessed it, art breeder but this time through my phone browser. Despite the sliders being hard to manager with a thumb, and scrolling to get to the desired one being nothing short of a headache it worked reasonably well, no issues in quality of limits in what it can or can’t do and I am happy with the results.

Kelsei, witch and survivor

Kelsei Whispersong

08TuKW

Kelsei Whispersong is a moonelf trader who travels with the various traders and gypsies in the Hollow Desert. She is just over 5 feet tall, a little chubby but sharp as a tack. Nothing escapes her notice and thats how she has survived so long in the desert with the gypsies that seem to travel with the change in the sands.

Kelsei knows what it takes to survive and if you ask around about her she does just that. Knowing a good thing when she sees it she is quick to make them best of good situations and she always seems to make it out on top. However she has just as quickly to know a bad thing and when to cut her losses (or avoid them altogether) and walk away.

Kelsei came from a extended family that had become oddly complacent with staying in one place. When the wanderlust overcame Kelsei, youngest daughter of 3 children, her parents and the head of the family thought that something had come over her. Fearful that a curse had overcome her they sent for a priest to purge the evil. Unfortunately they invited into their household the very evil evil they sought to purge.

After several months of living with them the priest had the ear and trust of all the heads of the family except for Kelsei’s parents who felt a darkness in the man’s soul. Giving Kelsei the key to the family’s treasure room they told her to take anything she could carry or wanted to have so that it couldn’t be used as part of the priests plans, which seemed to involve sparking a war with a friendly village of halflings, gnomes and humans. Among other trinkets was an artefact known as the Shruiabe Coin. Having taken the most powerful artefacts get parents bid her farewell and sent her away, casting several spells to assist I’m her escape.

When she returned years later, having hidden the most powerful of artefacts, she found her family home deserted and all history of her people gone.

Having travelled for a few decades she had picked up a thing or two about tacking and locating people or objects so she searched for answers to what happened to get family. After a week she found that the village who the priest was promoting a war with had a tale of an elven war party that had been beaten back by a handful of villagers and their farm tools. Curious she sought more info and was rewarded with a meeting with one of the father’s who fought the elves.

Vlaston was a man, ancient by human standards but his mind was still sharp and he could recall details of the encounters. A stranger disguised as a priest had come to then a few days before the attack and had warned them. He proved magical blessings on the farmers to make them stronger and faster than an elf. His only request was a single golden coin taken from the battlefield, the coin would have runes and etchings around the rim of it. The villagers found no coin and assumed it was on one of the elves that fled.

Kelsei spent the next few years tracking down the elves that fled but had found that all of them had settled in civilised villages and towns but had mysteriously died when their home was broken into, ransacked but with nothing stolen. The only elves, or traces of elves she didn’t manage to find were of her parents.

When she found the last of the elves that escaped she stood before her older sister who looked like a old human woman, her elven youth and long life appearing to have vanished. Talking to her sister she found out that her parent’s had died defending her, and her younger brother (Kelsies older brother) when a man who looked like priest had finally tracked them down and tried to take the Shruiabe Coin from them, when he found out that the coin was not with them he cast a spell that ripped their elven long life away from them and that’s when her parents attacked and mortally wounded the man. The man stumbled out of the house and disappeared into the crowd, a black ichor like blood dotting his path through the street. Her parents and older brother (who dealt the man the wound) died shortly after from the fights but asked her to try and find Kelsei to let her know to hide the coin away until someone worthy asks for it.

Thanks for joining me today and looking through some background for who Kelsei is and some information at what the artefact the party is after this week.

If you like where this is going don’t forget to come back tomorrow for what twists and turns we have in store this week. If you like the format of this week feel free to drop a comment down below and let us know what you like and why you like it and as always don’t forget to roll with Advantage!

You meet along the roads most traveled…

Tuesday has come and will shortly go, but as the end of the day draws near it gives the opportunity be to look at some NPCs that our party may meet while traveling on the road, round the campfire or in a tavern.

Today let’s look at some versatile NPCs that could become common features in your future sessions.

Traveling Companions

Sister Bella Moonladen

07TuSBM

A young half-elven woman of perhaps 20. She would be considered pretty by most who could see her long brown hair and green-hazel eyes. Most of the time she wears robes that mark her a priestess of Chauntea.

She is quick to offer aid and is free giving of the blessings her deity provides her to heal and bless those in need.

Until recently she was at a temple to Chauntea, but the death of her mother has brought her home and she is currently travelling with her Father, Brok, who she has not spoken to in over a decade.

Despite her fall out with her Father she still looks for the good and light in all creatures, much like her mother did, and as such she is slow to cast judgement and has gotten into trouble before where her trust in good was misplaced.

Brok Mason

07TuBM

Brok is a rugged, but handsome, half-elven male of around 50. He has a fine layer of stubble, large amounts of muscle and short cut black hair that is yet to see that caress of grey that human males of his age tend to show

Brok is slow trusting of people. Putting his faith in hard work, animals (like his dog and horse) and gold.

Once a well respected silk merchant in Lillydale he suddenly sold his shop and took to a darker business path, the movement and smuggling of people in who need to leave without a trace. This change in business venture caused his humans wife and his daughter to leave him.

What his wife and daughter didn’t know is the sale of his shop and pursuit of new employment was a deal made to prevent bankruptcy and his family becoming homeless.

Quick to judge and see the flaws in most people, Brok doesn’t make friends with many people, let alone clients as gold is worth more to him than the bonds formed between people.

Eloras Nightwalker

07TuEN

Eloras is a drow who spends most of his time traveling the darker paths of the world. He is tall even for an elf with dark purple hued skin and silver hair that is normally tired in a top knot.

Rarely seen, and when he is it’s only when he wants you to, Eloras is an stalker of beasts and people. Rarely hostile but not afraid to apply leverage when requesting a print of one’s meal, supplies or goods.

Eloras like most male drow was born into a family which s brutally ruled by the female family members. After his house feel into poor favour with the high priestess of Lloth how family moved closer to the surface and this led to his family being the target of a red dragons bad mood. He now hunts beasts on the surface to earn favour with his people so he can return to the dark.

Sincerity

07TuSS

Sincerity, or Sin in other circles, is a female Tiefling of around 30 or so. She is just shy of 5’2″ (157cms) with a curvey figure and long raven black hair that is occasionally tired back in a pony tail whens she starts to conduct serious business.

Sincerity is a merchant by trade and a damn good one at that. Able to source just about anything given enough time, she has quickly given herself a name in the towns and cities she prowls. Not only that but she has an almost supernatural ability to broker trade between people’s and before they knew they even wanted something she had already sourced it and delivered it to them for a ‘competitive fee’.

Not much of her past is known except she was the only adopted (?) Daughter of a sage who taught get linguistics and business very early on in her youth.

Some rumours have said that she is the product of a one night fling between her sage father and something summoned by him to grant him knowledge. Others say that her father was lonely and merely happened to help an old friend when they couldn’t look after Sincerity.

What ever the reason many people who cried metaphorical, or not, swords with Sincerity end up in a worse state than they were in before.

Thanks for joining me today to look at some NPCs. By not having then tied down, or giving them flexibility to run into players anywhere along their journey, with a valid feeling reason, makes them ideal for oneshots.

Come back again tomorrow for twists where we try to anticipate what our players could throw at us to bring their party onto the journey hook, line and sinker. Don’t forget that if you see a particular NPC you just have to use let us know how it went. NPCs are what we make of them and they all to the world something that our players will remember for as long time.

If you do comment, don’t forget to mention where you are from, what RPG systems you play with and what brought you here.. Oh and don’t forget to roll with Advantage!

A tale of three taverns

Tuesday brings NPC day.. but today is one with a twist. Since this week is focusing on three taverns we are looking at fleshing them out and treating them like NPCs.

Today I wanted to really push the idea of Inns and Taverns being more than a spot to throw a party together into a quest. So I used The Copper Sanctum’s ‘not another tavern generator‘ to create some menus and look at some other aspects to add into a tavern or inn. I particularly like the names of the beers (being a craft beer drinker myself) and hope my players get a kick out of these later on.

I also experiment with Artbreeders Building maker (yup.. Artbreeder again) to create some images of taverns for this Tuesdays NPC write up.

Thanks for joining me today. I would love to say I had a lot of fun in writing up today’s content but it was a lot of writing today (even with the awesome content produced (randomly) at The Coppers Sanctum (not another tavern generator)) and it say me writing much later than what I would normally be doing so. But, I do sincerly hope that out there, there is a bar/pub that serves (some of) this food and almost all the beers listed!

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow where we look further at the twists and turns we can have with this weeks adventures and dont hesistate to comment and let us know if you would visit one of the inns or taverns above! If you have a If you do comment, dont forget to mention where you are from, what RPG systems you play with and what brought you here.. Oh and don’t forget to roll with Advantage!

It takes a village to raise a child

Tuesday, up let’s look at some versatile NPCs.

Not sure if today will lead to a dark turn but lets see how we can use the NPCs to our deepen our adventure this week. As with yesterday these characters are not tied to a plot, but are meant to be versatile, fluid and ready to be slotted into any adventure that we want someone to fill that void where a player askes “Hi stranger, what’s your name? What brings you to Sleepyhollow this time of the year” having one of two of these guys/gals up your sleve can save you embarrassment when all your NPCs have names starting with the letter B.

Characters of flexibility

Baxter Henderson

05TuBaHe

A relatively unremarkable child of 16, Henry has blonde hair and brown eyes that sparkle with mischief. His unkept hair, hodgepodge clothes and scrappy attitude reflect his life between families.

Unlike other children Baxter didn’t have a single family who brought him up as he drifted between families, his own flesh and blood relative’s either passed away or wanted nothing to do with him and so he found a roof where pity or mercy would provide one.

Having grown up between households, Baxter ends up in trouble. Whether it’s the city guard, his family, local gangs or city merchants he had spent time in jail before he reached adulthood.

Sarah Lune

O5TuSaLu

Sarah was born into the family of farmers. Quick of wit and blunt as a smithโ€™s hammer she was known to get into trouble with the other farming families when she quickly outsmarted and out-paced their sons and daughters on market day.

Not resigning her fate to be the face of her family’s market stall she has tried to find work in other aspects of her villageโ€™s life but nothing has quite stuck.

With her long red hair and hazel eyes she has had many farmers offer their hand in marriage, whether for an increase in their own land or because of genuine interest Sarah doesnโ€™t give them much consideration before turning them down.

Ned Talksmuch

05TuTeTa

Ned is a wandering minstrel who seems to have a habit of getting himself into trouble. Attractive and charming to a fault he can frequently be seen climbing out of windows in some state of undress.

Ned however is fond of animals and the majority of his songs and poems are about them.

Born to adoring gnome parents he has a tendency to talk very quickly, especially while drinking or singing, which is what he does most of the time when he isnโ€™t climbing out a window. Despite being born a gnome Ned displays very little characteristics of a gnome being just shy of the height of a normal human and resembling a young human male how he was born from gnomes remains a mystery to many.

Thanks for joining me today in looking at three very vague NPCs that could help, hinder or directly be a part of our adventure for this week.

As I have mentioned previously the theme of this week is randomness. I had my wonderful wife whip up some character portraits for me (using artbreeder of course) and I had a look at the images and came up with a small blurb about them to get the sparks flying.

This week the NPCs are meant to be generic. Any of them could be involved in any of the plots for this week, any of them could have a twist to throw the partys way and any of them could turn into and advesary at the right moment.

Thanks for joining me today to see where this adventure with full randomness… well as much as can be tollerated when writing an adventure hook.. Don’t forget that if you see a particular NPC you like you can please use them in your games, add a comment to the page and let us know how they turned out.

Oh and don’t forget to roll with Advantage!

Those who dwell in the Wyrdwood

Tuesday again. Today we are looking at a few people who live near Winterbourne Keep or the city that sprung up around it. Each NPC (Non-player character for those new to the game genre) here brings something to this week’s quest and can bring a lot of fun, intrigue or drama to the story that we craft for the players.

Today I go back to using Artbreeder for character portraits as I love the creative nature of it where you can tweak the little things on faces to get a whole new NPC portrait.

Winterbourne City

Sir Percival Winterbourne

04TuPeWi

Roguishly handsome, Sir Percival Winterbourne has medium length brown hair that appears to glow with red tints when the Autumn sun hits it. His grey-blue eyes are full of warmth and he carries himself with a welcoming stature.

Percival speaks with a warrior’s intellect, that is to say that everything he says is calculated, weighed and deliberated regardless if he is attending his court or walking amongst the people of his city. Aware of the prying eyes and ears in his vicinity at all times, Percival is a master strategist which is understandable considering his past.

Percival gained his knighthood and Lordship by infiltrating a rival kingdom’s gatehouse and overpowering the guards with a handful of knights. This, however, went against the orders of his commander but spared the lives of hundreds of warriors on both sides of the battle. The king, finding his judgment sound and unquestionable granted him titles and land where his now growing mass of followers now reside as his knights’ bastion.

Cordelia ‘Cordy’ Carpenter

04TuCoCa

Cordy is an attractive but boyish young squire who works under one of the knights in Sir Percival’s court. Her long walnut hair reaches past her shoulder blades but she ties it high and close to her scalp as to be judged on her skill with a blade and bow instead of her gender.

Cordy is potentially the most loyal and dedicated squire’s that can be found in the court and her bravery has been tested a few times before in performing her duties as a squire.

She longs to strike out on her own and prove herself a knight by her own merit instead of being judged based on her gender and looks alone. As such she goes to a great deal to hide her immediate womanly appearance but will not deny her truth if questioned.

Winnifred Winterleaf

04TuWiWi

Normally seen standing a few feet to the left of Sir Percival at all times Fred appears to be a young lady of fair appearance. Her bright orange hair is rarely seen without an old leather hat that contains the wild nest-like hair underneath. Her eyes and ears give away her elven heritage but she is normally quiet and calculating, a harmonious pairing with the knight she serves.

Prone to talking in riddles Fred is channeled chaos. Unpredictable yet powerful, she acts as Sir Percival’s court wizard.

Chad Taylor

04TuChTa

Strong cheekbones and broad shoulders are the first thing that people notice about chad. Hailing from a distant land Chad is charismatic and well liked by the court.

Chad is driven, almost to a fault. First to volunteer for the dangerous mission or the errand that people expect him to fail, Chad lives to prove people wrong.

Thanks for joining me today where we looked at a few NPCs to flesh out any adventure. With a few small adjustments any military like setting these NPCs could form the basis of an adventure.

Have a good night and week and oh and don’t forget to roll with Advantage!
The Brazen Wolfe

The townsfolk that work land.

Helloooo Tuesday, today we are looking at a few NPCs that the party may encounter or see in their journeys through and around Sparrows Rest.

Today I found out about Fantasy-Faces. This is a free. Yup. Free source of NPC portrait art which can be used in commercial use. Yup. The reason for this is simple, all of the images were created via A.I. So if you want to have a large pool (some of them are duplicated as it’s all computer generated) and you can generate your own if you follow the instructions.

Sparrows Rest

James Goodfellow

03TuJG1

James has the look of a man who has seen a fair bit of hardship in his life. Scars and pox marks blemish his face but his warm and caring nature makes these marks quickly outshine his otherwise average appearance.
His biggest notable feature is the way he meanders through conversation, preferring to take his time when talking to people so he can put their minds at ease.

James came to Sparrows Rest as a small boy already horribly marked he worked as an apprentice to the local smith. Quick and good with the hammer he built lean muscle that when he undertook the mantle of “Mayor” faded and gave way to a figure that is best described as a “dad bod”.

Loyal and dedicated to his town to a flaw, he will fiercely defend it’s reputation with his keen mind for business and because of such he treats all threats or issues with the town as a transaction.

Timothy Carpen

03TuTC1

Strikingly handsome, Timothy Carpen holds himself like a man who knows he can command a room.
Being the only child of one of the most wealthy farming families he can be found in the local tavern, or shops or well any where flaunting his wealth and thus power.

The biggest noteable trait about Tim is he is confidence to the point of being arrogant. This gets on some of the older towns folks nerves but they put up with him for the sake of his parents, who the town owe a great debt to.

The thing that Timothy doesn’t want anyone to know is that.. He is a coward. He will talk up his accomplishments and downgrade his failings in an instant as his reputation is what matters the most to him.

Katheryne Baker

03TuSt1

Kat is a charming, attractive young lady who has rejected the suitors from all noteable families in Sparrows Rest except for Percy Fairweather. Their courting was widely revered as what it should be, adoration and mutal respect between the two betrothed.

Kat is smart, calculating and prone to bursts of sarcasm.

Daughter of a travelling merchant many were surpised when she settled down and left her father to travel the roads peddling his wares alone.

A devout worshipper of the sun goddess she preaches her teaching freely, and sometimes to the unwilling.

Johanna Fairweather

03TuSt2

A slighthy chubby, middle aged woman she still retains an ounce of her girlish charms.

A sensible woman that is known to be welcoming to all people. Her warm nature has seen her offering up a seat at her table for dinner to strangers

Behind her quiet and kind nature, Johanna is very protective of her family.

Rose Longhammer

03TuRLH

Rose Longhammer is a young dwarf maiden with long red hair and some human-esque traits. She is firm yet well liked and works as the overseer and barkeep for the local Inn.

Hot tempted and know to deal with ruffians in the inn personally she is the sole reason that there is no bouncer or hired guard for the inn.

Decendent of a dwarf warrior and the human she fell in love with her ancestry is something that was not thought to be possible, she keeps the details of her ancestry quiet and laughs off any mention of her un-dwarven like attributes.

Thanks for joining me today, hopefully some of the NPCs above you will find useful in your own adventures or in the one we are creating this week.

Don’t forget that if you see a particular NPC you like you can put a comment down below including the ##TuYY and the one with the most comments will get used!

If you do comment, don’t forget to mention where you are from, what RPG systems you play with and what brought you here.. Oh and don’t forget to roll with Advantage!
The Brazen Wolfe

Oh to Zel with you…

Today we are looking at the people of Zel – perhaps friends, employers or marks in the city for the party to meet.

Today’s tool is Artbreeder – a seemingly infinite source of character portraits if you have the patience in splicing images (automatically mind you) to get something that looks just right for the vision you have for that Non-player character.

Zel and it’s community.

James Sutherman

02TuStLe1

James is the relatively successful owner of James’s emporium – a place where you can find just about everything that you could need.

He is relatively quick to temper; his son Tim, seems to weather the brunt of it but he is also known to be generous and kind and is frequently seen giving hand-outs to those in need.

Tim Sutherman

0TuStLe2

Tim is a well liked member of the community. Much like his father, James Sutherman, he is well known for being kind and is first on the scene to helping out those in his community.

He has a keen knack for business, and those in the community know it’s him who keeps James’s Emporium running.

Madeline Yoke

02TuEs1

Madi runs the local Refuge shelter giving people food, a place to stay; albeit temporarily, and organising them safe transportation if required out of Zel city.

She is known to be compassionate but ruthless, often never seen without a weapon on her. She is quick to judge but equally as quick to offer aid to those in need.

Jeremiha Roost

02TuSt2

Jeremiha Roost has a bad track record. Known to show up at the right moment at the right time to intercept the good people of Zel.

Known to use violence to get what he wants, generally the cargo of those who he finds, he is as ruthless as he is cunning. Having out-foxed the local authorities he continues on his crime spree – his last heist of cargo left a merchant dead and his son missing an arm.

Kaitlyn ‘Lyn’

02TuFe1

Lyn is the assistant, and well, really the face for the mysterious ‘X’.

Not much is known about Lyn’s past only that she has made a name for herself in Zel and that ‘X’ favours her above the rest of her assistants.

Brumblethatch Ispich

02TuEs2

Brumblethatch Ispich, who insists on not having a nickname, is an eccentric provider of goods across Zel City.

He is known to be the first to source and sell the next big thing on the scene.

Whether it’s lizard-skin pants or new weaponry; that may or may not be safe, Brumblethatch is there selling it until it starts to really kick off. By that time he has moved onto the next big thing. Whether that is advisable or not he changes his produce seemingly at a whim

Samantha Higayle

02TuSt1

Samantha ‘Sam’ Higayle is known to be a strong woman. That is to say that she has risen through the Zel city watch to be the captain of the watch through not only her force of personality, knack for thwarting incursions and attacks on the city but also for her strength of arm.

During her first mission, the escort that she was a part of came under attack and the caravan was flipped onto its side during the attack. As the attackers assailed her allies she singlehandedly flipped the caravan back onto it’s wheels. Then to buy her fellow watchmen time to escape she charged the front lines and separated the leaders head from its shoulders.

Jasmina Koy

02TuJAS

‘Jas’ is quick on her feet, good at talking and seems to know everyone, well almost everyone.

Relatively new to the city of Zel, she seeks out new people to the city and offers them information in exchange for money…

The right amount of money will buy just about anything in Zel and Jas seems to know where to go for just about everything.

Theo Rosenhut

02TuTHEO

Theo seems to always get into trouble. Known for his extraordinary bad luck. Some believe he was touched by infernal magic when he was younger and that bad luck is drawn towards him.

Theo doesn’t seem to mind, he believes that anyone can overcome their luck if they just try hard enough. This mindset has seen Theo, and the residents of Zel city get into trouble more often than not.

Felicity Carsmile

02TuFELI

Feli is the ‘owner’ of the local Inn. Usually strapped for money she generally exchanges rooms for the night for a favour (that will generally pay off in her favour in the long run).

Usually in debt, she seems to always be one or two months behind in payment which she pushes through with a smile and grit.

Thanks for joining me today to look at some of the NPCs that I created this week – I honesty got a bit carried away in using Artbreeder – it is too easy to try and find just the right blend of a character before a “child” of that character inspires ideas of a new NPC.

You may have noticed that this week I also included “02TuXX” tagged NPCs – this is really to emphasise that they are not tied to any one plot, map or encounter but can be used to just add life to the village, town or city. Anywhere really as I tried to keep most of them as generic as possible (except for a few of the plot/quest/mission driven ones.

Come back tomorrow for Twists, what will we think up for this week’s adventure that may cause the players a shocking moment of revelation, or push the story forward in a new or previously unseen way.

Stay safe, be kind to your players and…

Those who dwell among the brambles

First Tuesday. Alright lets kick off. Lets explore some of the people, or things, that the party could meet in this weeks adventure.

A note for you, the readers, I felt bad having a blurb about one of these NPCs without including an image for them. I spent more time than I dare to admit in trying to locate images that could do justice to what I had in mind for these NPCs I was working on. So I created a few, hastidly, as “place holders” until I can work my way around public doman, Creative commons, etc. I will hopefully have something a bit more. Err.. More-some in the future.

A image of Gilbert Tenpenny - Halfling con-man

Gilbert Tenpenny

01TuFeSt

Gilbert Tenpenny is a charming fellow when the sun is on his back and the world is on his side. However when he feels that the world is against him he quickly turns sour and bitter like biting into an apple only to discover it was a lemon all along.

Gilbert is a short man, not coming up to most people’s elbows, but people don’t notice his stature as much as they notice his quickness of tongue or the silver tooth he has on his upper jaw.
Nothing appears remarkable about the jolly man. He goes by Gil to his friends, but no one seems to call him that, and he runs a small shop that sells home remedies, mystical objects and good luck charms that promise to prevent misfortune to those who own them.

If something does go wrong, Gil would insist that the magical properties of the item have dwindled by keeping them in good lucky for so long and that they should have come back sooner to purchase another such item, or four just to be safe.

Gils biggest notability lies however in his extraordinary bad luck and he is quick to play the victim card.

Rumours speak of a dark deal gone wrong in the favour of the merchant and that his time is up. But, Gil denies any such accusations profusely and with fervor.

Princess Lisa

01TuEs

The first thing that strikes you about Lisa is her obvious elven heritage, which she tries to hide with her long auburn hair.

Although her elven heritage makes her appear younger than what she is, her presence is one of confidence and majesty which speak of a not too far out of childhood who is accustomed to her role of the heir to the throne.

The curse, regardless of how well she hides it, has diminished her zest for life which is becoming more obvious to any who know her, or who are particularly good at noticing these types of things.

Despite her affliction she still maintains her compassionate nature and goodwill to all living creatures which has endeared her to the townsfolk and people under her fathers employ.

An Image of the witch Ilya

The “Witch”

01TuFeEsStLe

Rumoured to be the spawn of a hag and a bewitched alchemist of some renown, she lives in a floating hut in the woods. Or so the rumours have it.

Ilya, is actually an elven druid of some power, able to communicate with the beasts of the Mant Forest.

She appears to be a young maiden, however, her looks deceive most and her knowledge of magic puts most wizards to shame.

She dresses in a dark cloth that seems to be spun from some unfathomable silk. Twigs, bark and cakes of dried mud complete her silken garment, and a gnarled spiked staff completes the ensemble.

She has been seen walking the woods at night, a lantern of rope and peat glows with a green flame as she tends the forest and it’s creatures.

An Image of King Gravebane

King Gravebane

01TuEs

King Gravebane, rumoured to be a powerful paladin in his youth which saw him earn the title of king.

His handsome face, short dark hair and light salt-and-pepper beard is paired with a cold smile that only conveys warmth and feeling when talking to or about his daughter.

He is a tower of a man, standing at over 7 feet tall and how he carries himself that gives credit to the stories of his past. Usually found dressed in a suit of plate mail that never tarnishes with a large mace resting against his throne in his audience chamber within arms reach should the need arise.

The townsfolk never have a bad thing to say about him and praise him openly in public. His reputation of being so well liked sees him wall unguarded through the towns and townsfolk of his kingdom.

Rumour among the guard is that he slew the Black Dragon Al’gladyzux in the Mant forest, its terrible acid breath caused his armor to fuse to his flesh and that only through the magic of his queen did he recover enought to be granted his kingship.

An Image of Dryn Silverstone

Bardryn Silverstone

01TuLe

The Alchemist known as Bardryn, or Dryn to most, is a cheerful yet eccentric alchemist from Silvestone Clan.

Her long double braids are rarely without soot or burn marks in them. She never goes a week without changing the colour of her hair through one of her alchemical concoctions

Dryn recently became more erratic since a parcel arrived from her father which contained her uncle’s large leather bound tome of alchemical research.

Her once good name and profitable business, that seemed to revolve around her potions that could change the colour of ones hair, has fallen into ill repute as she started to put more time and effort into researching her uncleโ€™s book rather than focusing on her business.

Thanks for spending some of your Tuesday night with me. Tomorrow night we will investigate the Twists that could befall the party on their quest.

Thats me for now, and don’t forget to roll with advantage!
