This week we have the party caught in transit – passing from one city to another and, not quite making it all the way through as they take refuge in the ruins of Krencham. Will they make it out alive or will the storm filled night be too much for them.
So hunker down, grab a drink and let’s survive tonight’s adventure!
The travel between cities is fraught with danger, be it bandits, weather or hungry creatures that hunt the roads. But the roads less travelled, through abandoned buildings and towns can be safer or much, much more dangerous. The Town of Krencham has been abandoned for years now, the strange case of a township of farmers in a relatively safe part of the country disappearing overnight. Many of the buildings were left intact with a single door pushed off its hinges, out into the street.
Due to there being no bodies found the military did not investigate and deemed it a mystery. However after many years the road through Krencham has started to be used again by travellers but this time is different. After a violent storm has rocked the land the party takes refuge in the destroyed buildings. But the scene that they came out to the following day started to tie the pieces of the puzzle together.
Now the hunt is on and the party is the prey. Racing across abandoned farmlands, taking refuge in the crumbling buildings as an unknown creature stalks the edges of their sanity. Will they make it to their destination alive or will the same fate as the farmers of Krencham be theirs?
The storm raged on as the party raced down the road, the flash of lightning illuminating the distant outline of ruins. Racing towards the distant hope of shelter, roads, fences and buildings that they ran past looked like lifeless shells. The Town of Krencham had been destroyed years ago overnight as the source of its destruction – and the disappearance of its people. This town was just ahead and tonight it would be their saviour tonight as the storm turned more violent – evolving into a maelstrom in its own right.
The streets, from what they could see from the lightning strikes, were deserted, ruined but a clear path made through the debris. Looking quickly over the buildings that were mainly intact they spotted what appeared to be mostly intact, a church to Lathander. Pushing through the rotten door they found themselves in a dank room that had as many leaks as an ant hill had ants.
Starting a small fire they huddled together and tried to get their clothes dry. The sounds of the storm outside sounded like an enraged animal, buildings shifted and crumbled, dust and bits of roof fell inwards upon them but it held strong. A few intense lightning strikes struck nearby and caused the ground to vibrate and for a moment the structure groaned and tilted.
The storm raged for hours and left an hour before dawn. The morning saw the party push through the semi-blocked door they had pushed through to find that parts of the ruins were a mess. Some buildings had crumbled further but bits of tree and churned earth were all around. Scouting the town they paused when they found something that they were not expecting. A tunnel had been dug along with the charred earth that indicated a lightning strike. Large swaths of dirt had been pushed outwards near one of the ruined buildings and claw and unknown tracks could be seen at points near and around the site.
Within moments a shriek of pain could be heard in the distance – an animal in pain in the direction away from the tunnel. Through the forgotten crops that grew in the fields still a path of crushed stalks could be seen moving from the tunnel outwards. The storm last night may have hidden the emergence of some creature, but frighteningly just as likely it had masked their presence from the creature that was now hunting nearby.
Thanks for joining me tonight for another week of adventuring. Don’t forget that each day this week we will expand out current adventure so don’t forget to come back daily and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Tonight and I have created a new zine for the year. I hope you are finding the current format of this Zine useful as I am continue to investigate what I can create weekly. I do this while aiming to give the DM freedom and flexibility without railroading them and the Party. So without any further waiting I present, The Steel Princess, in the same format, as a fun one-shot to assist GMs when they need a night out of the books.
As always this adventure can be used system agnostic but focuses on D&D so please feel free to adjust to what ever system and the creatures you are using in your adventure! However as always Kobold fight club can be used to quickly balance an encounter for Dungeons and Dragons and Tetra-cube provides the stat-blocks for the creatures found in this adventure.
So I hope you enjoy this weeks adventure, The Steel Princess, and that your rolls are made with advantage.

Luistira City – Created in Nightcafe.
The party had been drawn to Luistira – the city of steel to replenish their arms and armour after a few intensive battles. The steel here at the beginning of the Ferrous highway was famous. Many of the best smiths worked here and several notable blades had been created in the several forges that were established here.
However it was not the shopping that kept the party here but a request for aid.
The Iron Harvest was calling for people to escort its many wagons to the Kings Castle, a few days from Luistira, and they were asking for only the best.ย Either those with great repute would be hired or those who could test themselves and prove themselves worthy and it just so happened that the party was also heading in that direction. โWhat makes you think you are ready to join the Iron Harvest Guard?โ the guard, dressed more like a royal guard than a caravan mercenary, asked.ย โWe have heard word of your party. Some good work but surely these tales of your exploits and endeavours have been exaggerated.โ a second spoke, this time a female who was dressed as the part of a caravaner.ย โNow Sal, we canโt jump to conclusions.โ the man spoke looking across his broad shoulder to where she sat in the back room at the inn. โEasy captain. Let them speak. They have a reputation for getting the job done.โ Sal continued leaning towards the party.
Thanks for joining me today for another Zine this year. As usual there is a lot more in the Zine than there was in the daily updates on this blog – so make sure to grab a copy of the PDF.
Next time you get a party together consider running this adventure and I hope that you enjoy it. I hope you don’t miss a thing so come back daily in the coming week and year. This is so you can experience the creation of the next adventure as it evolves and shapes out. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Taking a break from creating cards, adventures, stories or the like tonight I have decided to make a Creature Concept Night! By using similar, nearly identical prompts I wanted to see what Nightcafe would create for me to inspire creatures and I wasn’t disappointed.
So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s look at what monstrosities have been created.
Creature Concept Night!

The sound of the corn stalks scraping against scales was the only sound that alerted the party to the approach of the creature. Something dark, cunning and malicious had been following them for days now and they had decided to lay in wait, using themselves as bait for it. However, what they didn’t realise was that the creature was aware of the trap and was using its abilities to aid in its ambush.
As the creature threw its voice and perfectly mimicked the sound of scraping stalks against its scales to the other side of the camp. Watching the party move slowly to prepare for an attack the second parasitic mouth opened and waited for the feast to come as the creature, much stealthier than the party could have realised, stepped amongst the bed rolls, the camp fire and the discarded bags.
Creature Concept; Reptile with purple and Blue colouration – Created in Nightcafe.
The golden moon was a prophetic moon that the elves of the north woods had foretold for over a century now. As the golden light spilled across the field of wheat the earth slowly cracked open and upwards. Clumps of dirt, wood and plant fell to the side as a creature crawled forth to be amongst the light that it had forsaken years ago.
Breathing the earthy smell in the hulking, muscular creature rippled with power. For a creature from the elemental plane of earth being amongst the soil, the plants and tonight the yellow moon invigorated the creature. But it was not alone as others were also drawn to the yellow moonlight in this part of the lands in an attempt to draw in the energy of the moon as well.
Creature Concept; Green and Yellow colouration – Created in Nightcafe.
A small creative exercise for tonight, but don’t worry tomorrow we bring more content. So don’t forget to come back tomorrow and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
A simple map tonight with quite a few overlapping textures and some stamps that were blown up to be gigantic proportions – but what to expect for Stonebridge Fort. This massive, somewhat abandoned fort looms over the country side and dominates the landscape.
So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s roll into tonight’s map.
The massive stone blocks and, surprisingly intact slabs of stone that make up the shingles for this roof are a testament to the size of the inhabitants. Blocks of stone easily 10ft in length and 5ft in height and depth make up some of the stairs leading to the large gate and door. The landscape itself is rocky and treacherous with beasts hunting around its edges to make a meal out of the lost or desperate.
About five layers of blended paint make up the background with some of spilling over to the foreground to blend in the stonework. The stairs and walls come from the same art pack with the roof and doorway coming from another which… gives it a bit of a disjointed appearance which I don’t overly hate – but not a super fan of. The stone under the walls had to be colour adjusted to get somewhat close – it will do but I would’ve preferred a closer colour match to the background.
As this is in the mountains away from people splashes of grass would appear amongst he rock – taking inspiration from rocky-mountainous hikes I have gone through where plant life finds a way to survive.
Thanks for coming to check the map tonight. It’s a rather big one this week and I think it will make for some interesting encounters. The weeks not over so don’t forget to come back tomorrow for more content and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
This week we have the Blackwater crew leading the game, controlling the situation and inevitably manoeuvring the party to where they want them to be. But not all of it is bad as its a means to and end and success is measured in many ways. So what’s so bad with leading the game?.
So let’s sit down, look for the clues, analyse these rascals and roll into tonight’s adventure!

Jayke paused and looked deeply at the ground before mumbling something that the party didnโt quite catch to Daruden. Nodding and pointing further ahead through the forest they called back to the others. โWell I can see why the mayor wanted us to come along as well. Lucky for you we found the way that they went with the people and the rest of the wagonโ Jayke said with a smile beckoning over the party.
The party had searched there already and were sure that there was nothing there. When they approached there were a few gold and silver pieces that head off into the forest away from the site where the wagon hung from the tree. However as plain as the coins sat amongst the grass and pine needles now when they looked before they had not seen them.
Following Jayke and Daruden they encountered similar occasions where the party would search the area or look for the path or clues to the next area but the expert scouting skills of Jayke and Daruden always revealed something that was nearly impossible to see, or, something that the party had missed. Over the course of the day they had travelled to the base of a mountain where the setting sun cast a large shadow and the calls of, something, echoed through the trees.
โThat there be the source of these problemsโ Daruden said as they watched the flickering fire light. โSounds like itโs coming from above us in the mountains above us. You know they say that there is a castle up there, made by giants.โ
โNow Daru, no need to frighten these adventurers off. That curse is nonsense any wayโ Jayke replied, shooting Daruden a glare from across the room.
โMy ancestors have told the tales of the giants in these mountains for generations. The curse is real just like the treasure behind those walls.โ Daruden replied.
โWell I won’t blame them if they have a change of mind. Theyโve been mighty brave to come with us this far into the forest and towards the mountain. Tomorrow we climb the cliffs and will see if the castle is real and find out whatโs causing trouble for these nice people.โ Jayke replied as he stood to head to his tent. Daruden grunting in response but clasped one of the adventurers on the shoulder.
โWe won’t blame ye lad if you donโt follow us. Jayke has led us astray before but he hasnโt gotten us killed, yet.โ he said before joining Jayke in turning in for the night.
Thanks for joining me for another night. Tomorrow we look at a map, or two, and the beginning of something more. So don’t forget to come back for the next, and last few days day and, as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Another night has come and tonight we meet the Blackwater Crew. These merchants are more than what they seem with each one of them being seasons adventurers and some thing a bit more. But what they choose to reveal to the party is what makes them the biggest asset or threat.
So let’s grab a coffee, sit back and roll into tonight’s adventure!

Daruden Hillcleft – Created in nightcafe.Daruden Hillcleft – created in nightcafe.
As the party waited for the township of Swans Reprieve to settle down after the discovery of the wagon suspended in the tree the town looked to them to assist. โPlease, you are all we have. We are no warriors and the guards we have are busy defending against goblins, orcs and gnolls that hunt the forests.โ The mayor asked as he waited for the total sum of the job offer to be collected.
The inn was the current staging ground for the mission and it was nearly empty this time of day โ except for the party, the mayor and a drunk at the table. The door opened causing a bell to chime to announce the new visitors. โI will ensure that you are paid. We donโt have another choiceโฆโ he began once more.
โWell lad, that isnโt quite the case.โ a gruff and strong voice said from the door as a rough, burly dwarf walked towards them. โWe heard about the little problem you have at the moment and myself and my partner, Jayke, are here wanting to help you.โ The dwarf said thumbing towards the tall human.
Jayke Bowson – Created in Nightcafe.Jayke Bowson – Created in Nightcafe.
โDaruden is right. We are willing to look into it for you with or without these adventurers.โ Jayke said, flashing a smile. โWe are merchants and adventurers and it’s in our best interest if we are able to do business with Swans Reprieve. So if there is trouble here then we want to ensure that we can remove the problem then it solves our problem too.โ Jayke ordered two ales at the bar and leant against the table near the party.
โTell you what, we can even do it without these adventurers so they can continue onwards their way.โ Jayke said, looking into the tankard as he swirled it around. โIf they arenโt willing to help out the town unless it fills their pockets then we can take care of it for you.โ
Daruden grunted and practically inhaled his tankard of ale. โAye, there is none better than the Blackwater crew. We are the best hunters, trackers and problem solvers in the land.โ he clapped the human on the shoulder โJust make sure your guards protect the town and we can handle what lies in the woods, our way,โ he paused for a moment as he looked at the party members, โthe right way.โ
That’s all we have for tonight. I am pretty happy with the NPC portraits tonight and I think its going to be a fun one this week. But don’t forget we still have another three or four nights of content this week so don’t forget to come back daily to stay in touch. And as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
This week we meet the protagonist of this weeks adventure, the Hero of Verone and the adventurers who rose to support him. But there is more this week than a simple escort mission as we will quickly see it divulges into something more more.
So suit up, grab a drink and a seat and let’s hunt down tonight’s adventure!
The mountains have always been a focal point for tales of legendary battles, gruesome enemies and towers that reached into the skies above. However, the Stone Bridge Keep could very well be the birthplace for all of these stories combined. Created centuries ago by a clan of Giants the keep was left to crumble into ruin with its large stone doors that were nearly too heavy for any mortal to shift and imposing walls.
High above the towns below the fort appears to have come alive again and booming voices, rockslides and figures in the woods at night have the people spooked. The party paid and the promise of long forgotten gold and riches see’s our adventure take to the mountain tops this week as the Stone Bridge Keeps mysteries become reality as a darkness threatens to swallow up the valley below.
Swans Reprieve lay between several peaks of the Jasworl mountains in the valley the series of mountains had made. Several centuries ago it had been ruled by a vicious stone giant warlord who had raided the people of the valley and beyond to the brink of their extinction. However the Warlord and his giants had left the valley, and all that remained was the occasional unearthed weapon, armour and skeleton. That and the crumbling fort that still cast a shadow down on the valley below.
However despite being quiet for years the mountains above Swans Reprieve had become alive once more with reports coming in of things heard, seen and felt in the surrounding area. The latest incidents were of rockslides and the sound like thunder coming down from the mountains where no storms were to be seen.
Very near to the township was the site of the last rockslide. A few cottages, mainly used for hunting and storing supplies for logging had been crushed but so far no lives had been taken. However that was beginning to change and shift and the threat of lives being lost was becoming dangerously close to being a reality.
Several traders who travelled through the woods had also reported seeing figures amongst the trees moving several feet taller than even their wagons. They had also reported strange calls and echoes through the valley at night that sounding mournful, angry and like a beast in pain. However despite what they had seen and heard the traders who told these tales had yet to be attacked.
The party had travelled for a few days and were approaching the township of Swans Reprieve. The woods had been relatively quiet with the largest animal they had seen being a wolf that had quickly scampered off as soon as it had seen the party. After rounding a part of the path that looked as though one or two trees had fallen over, but cleared from the road.
Travelling past the torn up earth a glint in the grass caught their eye. Investigating they found a silver piece resting on top of the grass and searching further they found more and more silvers. The trail of silvers left began to include copper pieces and a few gold coins before finishing at the base of a large tree. Looking around for the source it wasn’t long until they looked up and saw a wagon, half ripped open suspended from the branches and trunk of the large tree.
Something either large or incredibly powerful would have had to lift or throw the wagon into the tree and not to mention, where were the people who owned the wagon or the beasts that would have had to pull it.
Taking their discovery to the town it wasn’t long until the townsfolk were buzzing with rumours coming forward and the town guard, the merchants and mayor were searching for not only answers but someone, or some people to investigate what was going on.
Thanks for joining me tonight to investigate another instance of ‘All roads lead to Rome’ where we have multiple rumours that point in one direction. Investigating them will lead the party on this weeks adventure and they will be able to discover what menace has moved into the valley. But don’t forget that this is just the beginning and we will expand the adventure daily this week. And lastly, as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
Good evening all and welcome to the Eleventh and Twelfth days of adventuring for my party. While I will endeavour to not give away the campaign, adventure or plot moving forward (in case my party read these updates!) I will attempt to write up each adventure this year continuing with my 2024 Campaign Adventure 11 & 12 – continuing on from the 2023 adventure.
This is a continuation from 2023 Campaign adventure 10 as the party continues on their first mission as members of the investigation of the strange creatures in these lands.
2024 Campaign Adventure 11 & 12
Sa415CaE1112
Plot:
Noon
The party having rested from fighting the Snowcraft Guardians, the creatures with a sturdier and rougher exterior than the creatures seen before. As the party recovered from the encounter they pondered what the cavern below the frozen waterfall held for them. Approaching the edge of the cavern they discovered a work rope ladder that had become rigid with ice. Below a cavern was revealed studded with both Stalagmites and Stalactites – but the party knew something was up. There was a stairway that had been carved into the stone which descended deeper into the quarry cavern. Frozen ice and compacted snow surrounded the path where there were several standing torches that studded the edge of the path for the length of the stairs
Armaeth scouted up ahead and checked for loose, crumbling or rigged stalactites however she was not anticipating creatures to be lurking in the cavern ceiling. A moment later and several stalactites fell towards the party, several missing the mark and crashing into the ground but one connected with Tater, grievously wounding him. The stalactites were revealed to be creatures that took the form of the stone formations on the roof of the ceiling, Piercers, and hunted they prey but impaling them and hoping the drop killed them.
After a brief fight Tater was left to bandage and try and recover from his wound before they carefully headed deeper, but not before searching the stomach of the creatures and finding a mysterious pouch – one that was bigger on the inside than the outside. While not a bag of holding the Pouch of Holding acted in a similar manner but with a greater limit on how much could be kept within.
Now knowing what to look for Armaeth used a flaming torch to prod the rocks and revealed several more creatures that scuttled off without attacking the party. Eventually they found their way to the bottom of the stairs where a giant reptilian fossilised skull marked the end of the stairs and the beginning of the hall and chamber beyond.
The Discovery
Walking down the hall and promising themselves that they would try and take some teeth on the way out afterwards. All light disappeared as they went deeper into the cavern below and beyond, but testing the depth of the room beyond (by launching a crossbow beyond and listening for an impact) they found it was a rather large room.
Throwing torches into the room they created a few pinpoints of light that helped Groku – the only human in the party, and which produced the mediocre amount of light that enabled Tater and Kai to see better in the dark. What was revealed was a smooth icebound room with several pillars of ice that may have been stalagmites and stalactites that met in the middle for their formation. These were somewhat evenly spread across the room with piles of snow under them which would provide welcome grip as opposed to the smooth ice that was everywhere else.
In the centre of the room was an altar, something that was foreboding and dark – and the party had a good idea what it was. As they approached the altar, not being able to find out what was on there from across the room, they were approached by a hulking figure. Smooth slabs of ice had been sculpted or created to form an armour-like-carapace for the core. A large shield made from hard, jagged ice complimented the large sharpened great-club like appendage that was formed onto the man-figures body. The core however drew everyone’s attention.
Mark Kenderson lay definitely dead but woven within the construct made of ice. Grievous old wounds were cased in ice which formed a protective suit to the small amounts of broke, bruised and cut flesh beneath. The construct spoke to them “Leave now so the creator can complete her ritual” before, taking Tater advancing as a sign of aggression, it strode forwards and attacked.
The fight was intense and while Tater and Groku attempted to (and succeeded!) in keeping the construct busy Kai looked for the creator. After a few rounds of combat Tater was at deaths door while Kai had discovered Aster, the young enchantress lay dead, broken and bloodied as if killed by her own creation. Soon the unrelenting construct had beaten Groku unconscious and was about to end both Tater and Kai before one of Kai’s spells took hold and the construct fell silent.
Recovering and stabilising Groku they searched the room for answers and found a box that had a handful of gold and platinum pieces as well as bracers, a ring, a cruddy looking key and a belt. Searching Aster, and finding her journal that confirmed her to be Aster, they rested and experimented with the items they found – revealing them to be magical to some degree. After much experimentation they determined that the Ring that they gifted to Groku was able to push and pull metallic weapons from the user.
After resting they piled snow on top of Aster and Mark before leaving, carefully extracting nine teeth from the ancient reptilian fossilised skull and carefully avoiding the piercers in the cavern – of which they were successful. Carefully moving about the dwindling afternoon they made their way back to the Goliath’s hut and rested for the night.
Departure
Morning came with no additional sign of snowmen and the descent to Snowtown was only broken by the realisation that a large white and grey wolf was following them. When Tater approached the wolf it ran off but followed from a safe distance – even eating some of the rations that Kai left behind for it. The other thing that dawned on them as they walked back to the town was that the snowmen were gone and piles of snow, clothing and sticks remained where the constructs once stood.
Entering the town they were met with the sight of children playing and people celebrating in the afternoon sunlight. Going to the Snowtown Inn to see Daryll he called Penny to come and listen to the adventurers tale. The revelation of Marks death was not unexpected but his parents took it poorly (as can be expected). They were also offered lodging and meals for life in the Inn if they wanted and they ate and rested well that night.
In the morning they were gifted with a large collection of gold from the town, several healing potions and trade material as well as two potions that were sent by mistake – ones that produce a lot of light once exposed to air. Packing the wagon and hitching up the mules, draft horse and riding horse again they left to continue onto Fustmach.
Followers
The road to Fustmatch was relatively easy now that the weather had passed. They had been in Snowtown for around six days and nights and in the time the roads had hardned up and the party was able to make good time. Kai noticed that the wolf was still following them and so decided to embrace his inner wild Goblin. Strapping bits of meat to himself he lay down still in the middle of the road for about and hour before the wolf became curious and came to check on him. It snaffled the bits of meat that he had draped on himself before disappearing up the mountain once more.
As they continued to travel upwards they came across a mid-way point where they decided that staying put over night would be wise. Setting up camp they scouted the area around them and found a cave with fresh water, and fish. Catching a fish, gutting it and then cooking the meat Kai and the party ate well – but Kai decided to try the age old Goblin proverb, “You catch more wolves with a goblin covered in fish guts than you do dried meat and jerky.”
Into the first watch of the night Kai went a bit feral. He removed all his clothing and donned the fish guts and went in search of the large wolf that had been following them. Eventually finding the wolf he was so set on finding the creature that he did not notice the other eight wolves that had been following the smell of mule. When he finally realised the wolves were close by he had to quickly scramble up the hill – but it was steep and had little in the way of hand or foot holds. As he was naked, without weapons (or even the magical bracers that launch veins of metal from his finger tips) he was quickly dragged to the ground and attacked savagely. He beat into the wolves with bare fists but it wasn’t long until he was fighting for his life.
The screams and disturbance alerted the mules which woke Groku and soon Tater and Armaeth joined her in charging to the aid of a non unconscious Kai. After a quick battle, involving the large white wolf attacking one of the other little wolves, they stabilised Kai and defeated the others. Upon gaining consciousness Kai witnessed the following wolf take one of the slain wolves as its prize and Kai attempted to follow – his mind in a feral and manic state.
Giving up after he lost sight of the wolf he returned to sleep in a bed roll made of slit-open wolf by the fire and he lay like that until the morning. In the morning Tater forced Kai to have a bath (by deception) which led to Kai attempting to remove one of Taters fingers and then regaining more of his civilised senses. The half day of travel to Fustmach was an easy one but the party were relieved at the promise of not being on the backs of animals while moving up-hill.
Fustmach
The Town of Fustmach was largely made from stone and had more than the majority of buildings being predominantly dwarven. Most buildings however, had extensions or modifications in wood which was human in architecture. The people of Fustmach (with thick warm German/Bavarian accents) were welcoming and happy to help. They revealed that The Fat Sow was the best place to get food in the city apart from the feasts that the Mayor, an avid collector, hosts once a week at his hall up near the entrance to the mine.
Opposite that was the Fustmach Stables ran by Dinkleburg – a warm man with his wife Greta and son Hans – a towering strong but incredibly friendly man. Leaving the horses and wagon there they went to the Fat Sow following a lead that this may be the missing halfling – Fredrickson. It was not. The Halfling cook and owner, Jonh, was brutal, rough and a ‘Gordon Ramsey’ of the halfling cooking world where his wait staff were simply disenchanted with being there – a stark contrast to the rest of the village that were extremely welcoming and friendly.
After a heated discussion where Jonh was revealed to have been in a war with Goblins in his past and Kai insulting the proud mans food they were advised that the Mayor kept a stranglehold on who stayed in the village – but he would be likely to welcome the party. While Jonh organised a room for them to stay, on the sly, they were advised that his food hall was ‘all you can eat and drink’ for 1gp. Many of the locals seemed to be taking this seriously but they were tipping the establishment and wait-staff handsomely.
While waiting for Jonh they made their way to the Mayors house – a converted dwarven fort next to the mine. Talking to the guards they were revealed to be bored but friendly and not overly cautious of the party. Entering they found a feasting hall, converted from a dwarven barracks/room and the Mayor, a large jolly fellow, sitting down in a parlour room.
Talking to the Mayor he revealed some information about the dragon teeth – being not really his ideal item to collect but he offered 5gp a piece, he also provided some insight into the belt that Tater found revealing it to be made from phase spider silk and crafted by the elves of the Astral plane. He also revealed that they followed the dwarven mining customs and were trying to do it was the dwarves once did. Understanding that they knew best and wanting to honour the missing founders of Fustmach – the dwarves who once lived here.
Question’s about a halfling that visited didn’t reveal much – the Mayor, Tom, remembered him and expressed his disappointment that he left without as much as a goodbye or thank you. Afterwards the party were certain something was wrong with the town and much to Kai’s regret they believe that Jonh was innocent while the Mayor was behind the evil taint. Heading back to The Fat Sow they retired for the night with an invitation to the banquet tomorrow night at the Mayors hall.
The Frostkeeper Construct, Mark Kenderson was able to cause tremors in the cavern which caused the party to slip over many times if they failed a dexterity saving throw. He also was able to shield bash a single target, dealing a small amount of damage but sending them flying and prone when he connected. The theme of this fight was really area control and significant melee overwhelming dominance while he was extremely susceptible to things that affected wisdom saves and fire damage – if the party had realised.

A few weeks back the party bet the boss and found a small horde of magic items including one that helps them in playing catch! But its not the kind of catch that people would want. Discovering other tools such as Card generator and merging that with some of my art on nightcafe I have a small horde of work to do for the party! Tonight I want to catch people up on the adventures we have had and showcase the Ring of Magnetism.
So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s find people who want to see a magic trick.

So a common thing you see with magical thrown weapons is the ability to throw and have them return. This ring is that concept where the power level of it is based on it taking up an attunement slot if people want to harness the power of the ring. Considering nearly all thrown weapons have a range of 20/60 this isn’t overly strong as it just gives a dramatic flair to the attacks of a traditional melee character.
Ring of Magnetism – Created in Tetra-cube using my AI Generated Art.
However there are a bunch of niche uses that this could instil and I, for one, am excited to see what the party can do with it. I believe having a physical card that captured magical items or effects enhances the magic behind it. Being able to describe it and having a physical representation of what it looks like is another addition that I believe makes all the difference.
Stay tuned for a lot more to come as I ramp up the magical escapades that the party encounter. Don’t forget that tomorrow is Zine day and I will be releasing another PDF adventure. So don’t forget to come back and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe

That is what a wise prophet once said about such a cursed place but many know it as the birth place as the righteous power of the Hero of Verone. This is where we find our final battle and encounter this week and there was a bit of fun in making this map tonight.
So sit back, grab a coffee and let’s roll into tonight’s map.
The Black throne sits resplendently bathed in angelic light in the middle of the platform at the tallest part of the tower. The seals and symbols that surround it only allow the hero of Verone to sit within. But this in itself is the trap of the week.
Sharp glasslike walls make up most of the towers interior giving it a cursed and somewhat organic look. The crumbling metal and stone walls are studded with spikes, some intentional and some from the metal baring rusting and snapping inwardly that snare and impale the unweary. The smooth obsidian-black marble stairs are slippery when wet – which is an issue when fighting things that bleed. But there are mysterious wyrdlights that cast a blue, red and purple glow through the tower.
A few overlapping textures here, dark stone, stone tiles and a shadow make up the majority of the background art assets where overlapping and layered stone makes up for the edge of the void. Pockets of light, a throne, two magical seals and then walls makes up the rest which, I think, gives the rest of the room a forbidden and foreboding vibe.
Thanks for visiting tonight but don’t think the Black Throne will let you get away that easily. Don’t forget to come back tomorrow to meet the foes for this week and as always, don’t forget to roll with advantage, The Brazen Wolfe
